Brace yourself for a Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba takeover! Sushi Tei has teamed up with the wildly popular anime to present a specially curated, limited-edition menu inspired by the adventures of Tanjiro, Nezuko, and their companions.
Diners can immerse themselves in the true Demon Slayer experience at five themed Sushi Tei outlets: Raffles City, VivoCity, One Holland Village, NEX, and Tampines 1. On top of that, there will also be adorable custom chopstick sleeves and placemats that feature fan-favourite characters such as Tanjiro, Nezuko, Zenitsu, Inosuke, and the powerful Hashira warriors.
At the themed outlets, fans can look forward to an exclusive menu (available from now to 12 January 2025) featuring the anime-inspired dishes such as Tanjiro’s Okonomiyaki, Rengoku’s Beef Yakiniku Bento, Gyomei’s Nabe, and many more.
For a start, Tanjiro's Okonomiyaki ($14.80) is an interesting homage to the protagonist's signature outfit. A generous topping of spring onions is added to a savoury Japanese pancake, while grilled seaweed pieces are carefully arranged to mimic the checkered pattern of Tanjiro's attire.
Of course there needs to be sushi roll at Sushi Tei! Zenitsu's Unagi Sushi Roll ($14.80) showcases the character's beloved dish: unagi. A generous slice of eel rests on each piece of this refreshing cucumber sushi roll, which is filled with creamy avocado, crab meat, and finished with a savoury topping of cheddar cheese.
For your main dish, you can opt for Rengoku’s Beef Yakiniku Bento ($18.80) that fans will instantly recognise from the series. Inspired by the character’s iconic bento devoured with his legendary appetite, this dish features tender, pan-fried sliced beef served on a bed of fragrant rice, accompanied by tofu and a creamy onsen egg.
Satisfy your cravings for hot soup during this rainy season with Gyomei’s Nabe ($14.80), a comforting hotpot served in a light and flavourful dashi broth. It features tender chicken meatballs, shiitake and enoki mushrooms, spring onions, and tofu, making it the perfect dish to enjoy on a chilly day.
Embrace the dark side with Darkness Tonkatsu (Muzan) ($15.80) — a large, tender pork cutlet coated in black breadcrumbs and deep-fried to crisp perfection, delivering a juicy and flavourful bite.
Wash it all down with Giyu's Inspired Drink ($6.80), a refreshing blend of Sprite and Blue Lagoon that offers a vibrant blue hue. Alternatively, try Shinobu's Inspired Drink ($6.80) featuring the same base with the added twist of pink grapefruit for a tangy kick.
Finally, for dessert, Nezuko's Konpeito Ice Cream ($4.80) presents a scoop of refreshing Yuzu or Strawberry ice cream, topped with traditional hard candies. Just like Nezuko’s razor-sharp teeth, these candies are a challenge to bite, adding a playful twist to this sweet treat.
After your satisfying meal, don’t walk away without snagging some merch! Show off your love for Demon Slayer with exclusive merchandise like chopsticks, tumblers, and tote bags.
